Houston’s Montrose Area Site for New 330-Unit Rental Community
Georgia-based developer Southeastern plans to turn the site of the a long-abandoned 24-hour Kroger grocery store into a seven-story $68 million mid-rise apartment complex. Construction on the 475,000-square-foot apartment complex is slated to begin in January 2023 and finish in late June 2024.
The development, at 3300 Montrose Boulevard will have 330 apartment units, featuring a pool, work-from-home spaces, a game and club room, virtual golf and sports simulator, outdoor workspaces, outdoor kitchen and grilling areas, and a zen garden.
Davis Carter Scott Design is listed as the architect for the project.
The 7-story apartment project will include two levels of parking, covering five levels of residential space. With a planned opening expected around 2025, market-priced apartments will range in size from 580 square feet to approximately 1,300 square feet, including studios, one-bedroom units, and two-bedroom units.
