Leasing Efforts Kick Off for 1550 on the Green
1550 on the Green, a 28-story class-A office building planned by Skanska USA Commercial Development, is located at 1550 Lamar adjacent to Discovery Green urban park, the largest green space in the Houston CBD. The development will break ground this year, with completion expected in 2024.
The 375,000-square-foot building will anchor Discovery West, a three-block master-planned district being developed by Skanska.
This is the first tower project in Texas designed by BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group. Its design will focus on sustainability and tenant wellness to achieve LEED Platinum certification. The tower will include smart building technology, flexible workplace solutions, pedestrian walkways and outdoor terraces.
CBRE was recently awarded the leasing assignment. Kristen Rabel, Parker Duffie and Joel Douthit are the leasing agents representing the landlord for 1550 on the Green.
“This is a game-changing project that will raise the bar in the downtown office market through world-class architecture, ample green space and cutting-edge technology,” said Duffie.
