Houston Lands Two Round One Entertainment Centers
Willowbrook and Deerbrook Malls, both owned by Brookfield Properties, will be new locations for Round One’s entertainment centers.
The Houston Business Journal reports the Willowbrook Mall venue will be the larger of the two locations. The $7 million project will renovate 107,005 square feet of the 191,000 square foot former Sears store.
The Willowbrook Round1 venue is expected to feature eight to 10 bowling lanes, 350-400 arcade machines, six to eight billiard tables, four to six party/karaoke rooms, over 100 seats for the restaurant and bar area, batting cages, roller rink, trampoline and a Sports Challenge facility.
The sports facilities take up 50,000 to 70,000 square feet of a typical venue. This includes multi-courts, ping pong tables, 3v3 basketball half-courts, golf putting, archery, futsal/dodgeball and catch ball, and/or frisbee spaces.
The Deerbrook Mall project is a significantly smaller investment with an estimated cost of $2.8 million for renovations of 23,770 square feet and fewer attractions.
