Houston Investment Group Acquires Seguin Crossroads Shopping Center

PBC Interest, a Houston-based CRE investment group led by Joan Collum and Stephen Pheigaru, has purchased the Seguin Crossroads Shopping Courts for an undisclosed price.

The property, formerly named Five Courts Mall, is located at 1500 E. Court Street in Sequin, TX. Plans for the 37-year-old retail center include the redevelopment of the 126,000-square-foot regional shopping center, which is 32 percent occupied. PBC is currently in discussion with national, regional, and local tenants and anticipates completion of the redevelopment and tenant’s opening in the Spring of 2023.

The shopping center’s current tenants include Tractor Supply, Pet Supplies Plus, Office Depot, Planet Fitness and The Cranny, among other businesses.

Erik Hamilton, who has more than 15 years in CRE journalism, is a former staff writer with the Los Angeles Times and the Orange County Business Journal. In addition to The Times and the OCBJ, he was also a reporter and editor for Crittenden Research, The San Bernardino Sun and UPI.
