Houston Developer Sells MedExpress Urgent Care Center

Houston-area developer BD Beaumont Venture Ltd. sold a recently delivered MedExpress Urgent Care Center to an out-of-state buyer. The 5,622-square-foot asset, situated on 0.8 acres at 3565 College St. in Beaumont, TX, sold for an undisclosed amount.

The building, which opened in 2017, is leased to MedExpress on a 10-year, absolute triple-net lease, with multiple options. MedExpress Urgent Care is a subsidiary of United Health Group. The property is across from an H-E-B grocery store and one block west of Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas.

“This deal shows that quality tenants and capital are willing to do business in Beaumont,” said HFF’s Ryan West, who brokered the transaction with colleagues John Indelli and Charlie Straus. “It’s a great market.”
