The hotel industry is heating up in San Antonio. The market saw Q1 2017 hotel revenue increase nearly 11% over the same period in 2016.

A new report from San Antonio-based Source Strategies Inc. attributes the $321 million in revenue to increased bookings and higher room rates, which rose more than 5% during the quarter. Further, the market added 1,300 rooms over the last year.

The revenue bump beats out increases registered in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston. Hotel revenue for the entire state of Texas rose 5.8%.
