Hotel Planned for Menlo Park
Pollock Realty Corp. is proposing a boutique hotel near Menlo Park’s downtown that would total 63 rooms, however the plan is stalled due to the city not having enough engineers currently on staff.
The developer would like to start building the project, which is on the site of a former Shell gas station, early next year. A full-service restaurant is planned as part of the project, and the hotel is to total 33,750 square feet. Rooms will average about $350 per night and will include French doors as well as balconies.
Pollock owns about 80 assets throughout the Bay Area. Hornberger and Worstell, which did the W Hotel in San Francisco, is the architecture firm designing the facility.
