Hotel Indigo Coming to L.A.’s Metropolis Development

A 350-room Hotel Indigo, which is run by InterContinental Hotels Group, is coming to the $1-billion Metropolis multi-use development in Downtown Los Angeles. The 18-story hotel is set to open by the end of the year and meet growing demand from Staples Center and the Los Angeles Convention Center, as well as other nearby attractions.

The hotel, which caters to a younger, hip set, like Starwood Hotels’ W Hotels & Resorts brand, will be just north of L.A. Live and south of the financial district.

China-based Greenland USA is developing Metropolis. Other than the Indigo, the full development will encompass three towers with about 1,800 condo units.
