HonorHealth Expanding Scottsdale Footprint
HonorHealth has broken ground on a $60 million project on its campus in north Scottsdale.
The expansion project at HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center, at 9003 E. Shea Blvd., is for a new Cardiovascular Center of Excellence. Gilbane Building Co. is the general contractor and Cunningham Group Architecture is the architect for the project that is expected to be completed in 2025.
The Phoenix Business Journal reports the first phase will include a new lobby entrance, a conference room and a cardiovascular ambulatory surgery center. New patient rooms equipped with technology to care for a variety of heart and vascular conditions also will be part of the first phase of construction. The second phase will include the construction of a cardiac intensive care unit for patients requiring complex and life-saving care. Existing cardiac units also will be remodeled during the second phase.
The health system also is building a $50 million wellness campus on the west side of Loop 101 and Pima Road in Scottsdale to be completed in 2024.
