Hoffman & Associates Named Development Partner for Sauer Center Project

Sauer Properties, Inc. has named Hoffman & Associates as the development partner for the next phase of The Sauer Center.

This next phase of the project advances the continued evolution of the Sauer family’s 37-acre master-planned district connecting the West Broad Street Corridor from the Fan District to downtown with amenities, offices, retail, and housing.

Phase II of The Sauer Center will build upon the success of the development’s first phase, which included a Whole Foods Market and adaptive reuse of office space, while prioritizing connectivity, access to green space, and long-term investment in Richmond. The next phase of the project is slated to break ground in late 2027, with pre-development already underway. Upon completion, it is envisioned to deliver a blend of residential, commercial, and diverse retail offerings.

“We’re proud to join Sauer Properties in shaping the future of this historic site. The Sauer Center represents the kind of ambitious, community-rooted development that defines our work, and Richmond is a city where we are excited to deepen our presence,” said Maria Thompson, President of Hoffman & Associates.
