Upscale fashion retailer H&M is taking down 20,000 square feet in the Village at Cumberland Park in Tyler, TX. The location is H&M’s second in East Texas. The company also has a Longview store at the Longview Mall.
H&M’s new Tyler store will begin build-out in late summer 2017, according to Matt Wilson of The Retail Connection, which handles leasing for Village at Cumberland Park. “They’re shooting for a late October or early November opening,” Wilson told the Tyler Morning Telegraph.
The 700,000-square-foot retail center, on South Broadway Avenue, will soon announce three more tenants, though it is losing anchor Gordman’s, which filed for bankruptcy. Gordman’s leased 50,000 square feet in the center. “This was their first store in Texas, and their 100th overall,” Wilson commented. “It’s disappointing to lose them.”
