Stratiq Capital acquired the 1920’s era structure. The building, 1911 Washington on White has much of its original structure intact to match the original layout. Stratiq’s Stephen Edworthy says its age did not hurt its potential, “The project is extremely promising with above market expectations and projections of significant cash flow for our investors. I look forward to implementing our business plan and making a positive impact in this historic community.”
The building is 100% leased out with plans in the works for expansion for additional tenant space. The area is known for its restaurants, nightlife and its number of nearby multifamily properties. The property is located in the Old Sixth Ward, a neighborhood protected by the National Register of Historic Places since 1978 and Houston’s First Protected Historic District.
