Kline Properties of Austin, TX acquired the eight-story, mixed-use Hogg Palace Lofts, located in downtown Houston. Randall Davis Co., the seller, ended its close to 25-year hold on the property with the disposition.

Located at 401 Louisiana St., Hogg Palace Lofts offers 79 residential units, along with retail and office space. The building opened in 1921, with Randall Davis converting it into residential lofts in 1995. JLL’s Chip Nash and Bob Heard, and Houston Income Properties’ Jim Hurd and Bishale Patel, represented the seller in the transaction.

Hogg Palace is designated an historical building by the Texas Historical Society. It once housed the office of William C. Hogg, businessman, philanthropist and son of Texas Governor James Hogg. It also was once home to the upscale automobile retailer Armor Auto Company.
