Historic FW Building Debuts as Luxury Hotel
A long-shuttered Fort Worth building has been converted into a high-end hotel. The building started out as the Biltmore Tire Co. in 1928. Since then, it’s been Hotel Texas, then the Sheraton Fort Worth, and the Hyatt Regency. Blueprint Hospitality bought the empty 14-story building in 2018 and waited for a few years before converting the building into a 188-room Le Meridien Fort Worth Downtown. Ashford Hospitality is an equity partner in the deal.
The hotel will have several food and beverage options. Besides the Bouvier Brasserie, which will offer all-day dining, the hotel will have a rooftop lounge, Annex, which will provide cocktails, light bites, downtown views and weekly live music. The first-floor hub transforms to offer evening programs such as La Vie: Rose & Petit Plates, featuring cocktails and sharable bites. Le Méridien Fort Worth Downtown will be equipped with 5,000 square feet of meeting space, including a ballroom and breakout rooms. It will join the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio.
