Hip Hop Legends Turn Out for Bronx Point Groundbreaking
Hip hop legends joined with city and state officials at the groundbreaking for the first phase of Bronx Point, a mixed-use project that will include the Universal Hip Hop museum. Phase one of the $349-million project, being developed on the Harlem River waterfront by L+M Development Partners and Type A Projects, is slated for late-2023 completion.
Bronx Point’s first phase will deliver 542 units of permanently affordable housing to the Lower Concourse neighborhood, along with approximately 2.8 acres of public open space. Additionally, the project will deliver an array of cultural and community-focused programming, including the permanent home of the Universal Hip Hop Museum.
“Bronx Point is a complete reimagining of a dormant, underutilized piece of waterfront property that will create new affordable housing and long-anticipated amenities for the entire borough to enjoy, and I am proud to be a part of it,” said L+M CEO Ron Moelis.
