Hines Sells Dallas Chase Tower for $285M

Houston-based Hines sold the 55-story Chase Tower in Dallas’ central business district to Fortis Property Group, headquartered in New York. The 1.3-million-square-foot asset at 2200 Ross Ave. sold for approximately $285 million, according to local media.

Holliday Fenoglio Fowler represented the seller, which had invested more than $10 million to upgrade the 30-year-old high-rise. Hines acquired the building in 2007.

Stream Realty has been retained to lease the already 75%-leased building. According to Stream’s J.J. Leonard, the new owner is planning additional upgrades, including reorienting the building’s front door more toward Ross Ave., and adding food options.
