Hines Opens Conrad Washington, DC, First in Nation’s Capital

Hilton’s luxury-branded hotel, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, has arrived in Washington, D.C. as a part of Hines and investor Qatari Diar’s CityCenterDC development. Located on New York Avenue at the gateway of the high-end, mixed-use project, the 10-floor Conrad Washington, DC offers 360 rooms and features 30,000 square feet of luxury ground-floor retail space and 32,000 square feet of purpose-built meeting space.

Hines’ Howard Riker says, “CityCenterDC continues to transform the luxury market,” calling the grand opening of Conrad Washington, DC “as the final punctuation on this outstanding project.”

The hotel is the first for the Conrad brand in the nation’s capital, and balances the MXU’s more than 30 world-class designer shops and boutiques, as well as some of the city’s best-known and critically-acclaimed restaurants. The property’s signature restaurant, Estuary, by James Beard Award recipients, Bryan and Michael Voltaggio, complements the hotel’s upscale offerings and features an elevated farm-to-table dining experience serving seafood from the Chesapeake Bay.
