Hines Gears Up for First San Antonio Multifamily Development

Hines announced it will develop a four-story, 380,000-square-foot multifamily project in the RIM retail power center in northwest San Antonio. The as-yet unnamed project will be Hines’ first apartment development in San Antonio, and its eighth in Texas. Hines owns the 796,445-square-foot RIM, having acquired the retail center in 2014.

The multifamily development will be situated on 11.4 acres at Worth and La Cantera Parkway. Houston-based Hines will begin construction on the project, which is designed by Meeks + Partners, in Q1 2018, with occupancy beginning in spring 2019.

The complex will offer a central leasing center, clubhouse, collaborative work room, fitness center and yoga studio, two-tiered pool with cabana grill, dog park with wash area, and tuck-under unit garages. Apartments will range from 682 to 1,479 square feet.
