Hines Focuses Co-work Space Operations Increase
Hines is increasing its focus on co-working space in its properties. The Houston-based commercial real estate owner and developer recently announced Hines2 (Hines Squared), co-working space it will launch immediately at its 717 Texas in Houston, and the Kearns Building, a 167,000-square-foot office building in Salt Lake City.
Hines is partnering with flexible workspace provider Industrious to operate the current and future Hines2 spaces. Hines is also working with Convene, which will operate sites that include full-service meeting and event management.
Additionally, Hines inked an agreement with WeWork for 56,000 square feet at 609 Main in downtown Houston. Hines was represented by Michael Anderson and Damon Thames with Colvill Office Properties, while WeWork was advised by Mark O’Donnell with Savills Commercial Real Estate.
