Hillwood Nabs 600 Acres, Adds to AllianceTexas
Hillwood, developer of the 26,000-acre AllianceTexas mixed-use development, has expanded its holdings in the region. Specifically, the Fort Worth investor/owner/developer acquired 600 acres of additional contiguous land in the Alliance Westport sector from an unknown seller.
The new acreage, situated along FM 156 between Fort Worth alliance Airport and the BNSF Railway Alliance Intermodal Facility, expands the industrial development potential to more than 36 million square feet in Tarrant and Denton Counties. Alliance Westport is already home to over eight million square feet of industrial and aviation development, including key logistics facilities for Amazon Air and UPS.
Calling the buy “one of the most significant land acquisitions in the history of AllianceTexas,” Hillwood’s Tony Creme indicated that the new property would be a “strategic link” between Alliance Airport and the BNSF Railway Alliance Intermodal Facility.
