Hillwood Communities Acquires 540 Acres in League City
The company is planning to work with various builders to put up 1,250 single family units in League City, just outside Houston. They expect the homes to cost somewhere from $400-700,000 a piece.
It’s Hillwood’s third Houston area project. The League City purchase follows the acquisition of Valencia, which closed last October in nearby Manvel, which was home to the developers first Houston project called Pomona. At complete buildout, Hillwood will have a combined 4,500 lots across the three communities. Hillwood’s Fred Balda is sold on Houston, “This acquisition is another step in our plans to help accommodate the ongoing Houston-area growth. And we are committed to providing thoughtfully planned, quality communities that Houston residents deserve.”
