Highpointe Communities Adds Bobby Shakoory as CIO
Development company Highpointe Communities has added industry veteran Bobby Shakoory as its new chief investment officer. The move positions Highpointe to expand its existing presence in both Texas and California.
“We’re actively acquiring land across Southern California and Central Texas for master-planned communities,” said Steve Vliss, founder, president and CEO of Highpointe Communities. “Adding Bobby to the team now is a strategic move for this next significant stage of growth. His exceptional experience in all aspects of real estate investment including working with private equity and family offices will allow us to build on our relationships with financial partners and institutions to support our planned exponential growth in size and volume over the next few years.”
Shakoory is a licensed real estate attorney as well as a private wealth and investment management executive with more than 20 years of real estate experience. His expertise includes deal negotiation and land acquisition to entitlement, development, construction and sales of single-family, multifamily and commercial real estate projects utilizing a value-add investment strategy. Prior to joining Highpointe, he was vice president of real estate investments for Assemi Group, and previously led acquisitions and served as in-house counsel for Granville Homes.
