High-End Arts District Hotel May Be on the Block
The JW Marriott Dallas Arts District garnered a lot of buzz during the planning and development phase and a lot of fanfare once it opened. Now, the owners may be looking to sell it. Bloomberg reports the owner of the JW Marriott Dallas Arts District is looking to sell the 267-room hotel for about $190 million. The outlet did not name a potential buyer.
The hotel features several restaurants, a cocktail lounge, meeting and conference areas, a ballroom and a fitness center, as well as a mid-air pool and deck with a terrace bar, cabanas and outdoor event space.
The owner and developer, Plano-based Sam Moon Group, has hired investment bank Eastdil Secured to advise on the potential sale.
Another hotel that recently traded was Driftwood Capital’s summer purchase of the Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park.
