HFF Acquires M&A Expert

HFF acquired Hentschel & Co. LLC, a boutique investment banking advisory firm. Hentschel specializes in large real estate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and capital raises.

“We have been approached over the years by many firms… but we were only interested in becoming partners with a team that shared our values and brought compelling strategic value to our clients,” said Steve Hentschel. He founded Hentschel & Co. three years ago, and will now become the leader of mergers and acquisitions and corporate advisory services provided by HFF’s registered broker-dealer subsidiary, HFF Securities.

Hentschel and his team advise public and private REITs, non-traded REITs, real estate investment funds and other private owners of real estate and real estate debt.
