Post Lake Capital Partners is a step closer to building a 10-story residential tower and a three-story retail building at Hemisfair. The city of San Antonio Historic and Design Review Commission has approved design plans of Post Lake’s offering. The project, planned for a 2.4 acre site near Market Street, is part of a public-private partnership involving the developer and Hemisfair Park Area Redevelopment Corp.

Hemisfair’s Master Plan, unanimously approved by the City Council in 2012, calls for a transformation of the former World’s Fair site to include new park space, as well as mixed-use neighborhood development featuring retail, restaurant and residential development. The first phase of Civic Park is set to open in September and will feature an event lawn that can accommodate 10,000 people.
