Hedge Fund Takes Top Floors at Related Cos. Skyscraper
Manhattan hedge fund manager Castle Hook Partners has agreed to lease the entire top two floors of 625 Madison Ave., the 53-story office tower being developed by Related Cos. in Midtown East. The 15-year lease comes with extension options totaling up to 10 years, according to city property records cited by the New York Business Journal.
Construction on the 860,000-square-foot skyscraper is slated for completion in 2029. Located between 58th and 59th Streets along Madison Ave., the tower designed by Foster + Partners will feature Central Park views, column-free floor plates and corners, and an all-electric and LEED Platinum design. Related Cos. purchased the site in 2024 and demolished the existing building, which was built in 1956 as Nabisco’s headquarters and later served as the developer’s corporate home.
At the start of this month, Related Cos. announced that General Atlantic would become the building’s anchor tenant after the global investment firm inked a five-floor, 150,000 square-foot lease. Castle Hook Partners is currently based on the 50th floor of 767 Fifth Ave, according to the firm’s website.
