Heard City Signs Long-Term, Full Floor Lease Renewal in Manhattan’s Lower West Side Flatiron District
Audio post-production concern Heard City has signed a 10-year lease renewal for the entire fifth floor of 16 West 22nd Street in the Flatiron district of Manhattan, says GFP Real Estate LLC, which represented both the tenant and the landlord in the transaction.
Barbara Yagoda of GFP negotiated the deal for the 13,000-sf space, the building for which GFP also serves as property manager. Yagoda said it is always a pleasure to negotiate a lease renewal that leaves the tenant without interruption to their business. “Heard City has been in the building for nearly ten years and enjoys its close proximity to incredible shopping, transportation and the many other creative firms that call Flatiron District home.”
Built in 1910 by the architect William Harvey Birkmire, 16 West 22nd Street is a 12-story, 165,000-square-foot neo-Renaissance store and loft building. Michelin-starred Korean steakhouse Cote is located on the ground floor.
GFP Real Estate is a vertically integrated owner, property manager and developer of commercial real estate in New York. The firm owns over 55 buildings and has more than 12.8 million sf under ownership, including some of New York’s most iconic properties.
