Healthcare Realty Trust, a Nashville-based REIT focused on medical buildings, has hired CBRE as the leasing agent for a 1.6-million-square-foot portfolio of 18 Houston-area properties. Healthcare Realty acquired the portfolio when it merged with Healthcare Trust of America in July 2022.

A CBRE team led by Brandy Bellow Spinks will continue to lease Healthcare Realty’s 11 buildings totaling 700,328 square feet in Houston, making CBRE the exclusive leasing agent for a total of 29 medical office buildings totaling 2.25 million square feet in the metro. The added property listings include buildings throughout Metro Houston, from The Woodlands to Clear Lake and Katy to Texas Medical Center. One of the portfolio’s notable properties includes the 257,707 SF medical office building 1200 Binz (in picture) in the museum district.

As of September 30, 2022, Healthcare Realty Trust had investments in over 700 properties totaling over 40 million SF and provided leasing and property management services nationwide for over 35 million SF.
