Healthcare Realty Pays $53M for MOB
Healthcare Realty Trust paid $53 million to Redmon, WA-based Valley Medical Office Building LLP for the Talbot Professional Center on the University of Washington’s Medicine Valley Medical Center campus in Renton, WA. Additionally, the Nashville-headquartered REIT is planning to build a 150,000-square-foot medical office building on the adjacent parking lot.
The lot is also next to Valley Professional Center North, which Healthcare Realty already owns. Talbot Professional Center is at 4011 Talbot Rd. S.
CBRE’s Paul Carr indicated that tenants have already reserved “a significant portion” of the as-yet unbuilt MOB, which will be the first constructed in the area in more than 20 years. Carr led the team representing Healthcare Realty in the Talbot Professional Center acquisition.
