Healthcare CRE Experts Delve into Trends, Look to the Future (VIDEO)
“Healthcare real estate has always been very stable. The stability, the gradual rent growth will continue,” Cox, Castle & Nicholson partner David Lari said at the recent Connect Healthcare Real Estate 2025 conference in Irvine, CA. What is changing, he continued, is the makeup of the investor pool for healthcare properties, with REITs currently shying away and healthcare providers stepping up, along with private equity firms and some sovereign wealth funds.
“The demand is there, but who the demand is coming from has shifted in a big way,” Lari told Collin Hart, CEO and managing director, ERE Healthcare Real Estate Advisors.
Lari was among the key industry participants who shared their insights with Hart for a Connect CRE video. Others included Andrew Matthews, director, ERE Healthcare Real Estate Advisors; Andrew Saba, managing director, Stockdale Capital Partners; Matt Melendres, senior associate, Cushman & Wakefield; Linda Brown, broker associate, LDM Commercial; John Pollock, CFO, Meridian; Michael Campbell, managing director, ERE Healthcare Real Estate Advisors; Steven Stubbs, principal, ATK Group; Angie Weber, first VP, CBRE; Tara Laski, project executive, healthcare, DPR Construction; Lon Mapes, president and CEO, LDM commercial; and Stephen Lindsey, research analyst, ReVista.
