Health System Nabs 24 Acres Near Alamo Ranch
Methodist Healthcare System of San Antonio acquired 24 acres of vacant land in northwest San Antonio, near the Alamo Ranch master planned community. Two partnerships controlled by Dan Hanke and Stanley Schoenbaum sold the acreage at Loop 1604 and State Highway 151. The health care system already owns 52 acres of vacant land at that intersection, which was acquired in 2006.
The sales price was not disclosed, and Methodist Healthcare System declined to discuss what it plans to do with the site.
The area is one of the fastest-growing in the metro. Wells Fargo’s office campus is near the property, as is the Santikos Casa Blanca movie theater. Methodist Healthcare System operates more than a dozen hospitals in the area.
