HDRC Approval Sought for Red Berry Lofts
NRP Group is approaching San Antonio’s Historic and Design Review Commission for approval on a 330-unit apartment development dubbed Red Berry Lofts. NRP’s multifamily project is part of the larger redevelopment of Red Berry Mansion, an 84-acre property at 856 Gembler Rd. on San Antonio’s east side. The overall redo, which will run $61.8 million, is a joint effort between the San Antonio Houston Trust Public Facility Corp. NRP and Casey Development.
Red Berry Lofts will sit on 13.5 acres at the property’s northern end. The complex will be spread across 11 three-story buildings, and will consist of one, two and three-bedroom units, ranging in size from 600 square feet-1,300 square feet. Amenities will include a stand-alone clubhouse, fitness center, pool and deck, as well as 600 surface parking spaces.
