HCA’s Gulf Coast Division Eyes North Cypress Medical Center

HCA Healthcare, the largest healthcare system in Houston, is reportedly looking to increase its footprint in the region with the addition of North Cypress Medical Center. The Nashville-based health system expects the deal to close this year. If it does, the facility would be HCA’s 53rd hospital in the Lone Star State.

“HCA Healthcare’s Gulf Coast Division is currently pursuing the potential acquisition of North Cypress Medical Center, an excellent medical facility with many respected physicians and services that would complement our presence on the northwest side of Greater Houston,” indicated HCA Gulf Coast Division’s Debra Burbridge.

Over the past couple of years, HCA has expanded its presence in Texas, particularly Houston. The system’s Gulf Coast Division acquired Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital, Houston Northwest Medical Center, and Tomball Regional Medical Center in 2017.
