HCA Healthcare Spends $750M, Expands by Four

Register for Connect Healthcare on November 8th at the Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Spa

HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division acquired three Houston-area acute-care hospitals and one long-term acute-care hospital from Tenet Healthcare. The acquisitions, which totaled $750 million, expand HCA Healthcare’s presence on Houston’s north side.

The buyer acquired:

  • Houston Northwest Medical Center, 710 Cypress Creek Pkwy.
  • Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center, 10655 Steepletop Dr.
  • Park Plaza Hospital and Plaza Specialty Hospital, 1313 Herman Dr.

HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast bought Tomball Regional Medical Center in early July 2017.

HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division manages 15 community hospitals across the area, as well as three specialty hospitals near the Texas Medical Center, including The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, a joint venture with Texas Orthopedic Hospital and Plaza Specialty Hospital.
