Haynes and Boone Remains at LyondellBasell Tower

The law firm of Haynes and Boone opted to renew a lease for downtown Houston space at LyondellBasell Tower. Under the terms of the new agreement, the tenant is taking down 72,903 square feet on floors 38-40 at the 1 million-square-foot, 46-story building at 1221 McKinney St.

Steve Burkett, David Bale, Ed Prejean and Diana Bridger of JLL represented Haynes and Boone in lease negotiations. Tranwestern’s Doug Little, David Baker and Kelli Gault, along with Clint Bawcom of Brookfield Properties, handled negotiations on behalf of the landlord.

LyondellBasell Tower, formerly known as 1 Houston Center, is part of Brookfield Properties’ 4.2-million-square-foot Houston Center complex. Brookfield acquired the four-building mixed-use complex for $875 million in December 2017.
