Haussmann Launches Leasing at Mixed-Income Crown Heights Apartments

Haussmann Development launched leasing at The Eve, a seven-story, mixed-income residential building located at 827 Sterling Pl. in Crown Heights. The development introduces 76 new apartments to one of Brooklyn’s most sought-after neighborhoods, including 23 affordable apartments that were made available through a lottery process.

“Our city faces a housing crisis that necessitates building versions of The Eve in every neighborhood,” said Josef Goodman, principal at Haussmann Development. “We need more housing that is inclusive, sustainable, and designed to strengthen our communities.”

In addition to its affordable component, The Eve was constructed as a fully electric building, eliminating on-site fossil fuel use and contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future for the neighborhood. By incorporating high-efficiency electric systems for heating, cooling, water heating, and cooking, the building offers improved indoor air quality and long-term energy performance.
