Hasbro Will Relocate HQ from Longtime Rhode Island Base to Boston Seaport

Hasbro, Inc. made it official on Monday: the toymaker will move its corporate headquarters to 400 Summer St. in Boston’s Seaport District by the end of 2026. The relocation from the company’s longtime Rhode Island base to the WS Development-owned office tower will entail occupying 265,000 square feet across seven floors that will house 700 employees.

In addition to its East Coast offices, Hasbro also maintains headquarters for the Digital and Gaming businesses in the Seattle suburb of Renton, WA. “Boston’s thriving business community, deep academic partnerships and cultural vibrancy, together with our Seattle team’s leadership in technology, creativity and innovation, give Hasbro an unparalleled foundation for growth,” said Chris Cocks, CEO, Hasbro.

However, the company said it would continue recruiting employees from Rhode Island’s colleges and universities and continue supporting Hasbro Children’s Hospital with annual donations. The competition between Rhode Island and Boston for Hasbro headquarters has gone on for the past year.
