Hartz Mountain Launches E-commerce Center on LI

CBRE has been retained as the leasing agent for a two-building industrial complex under development by Hartz Mountain Industries in Suffolk County, Long Island. Located at 90 Ruland Rd. and 235 Pinelawn Rd. in Melville, NY, the LI ECommerce Center will offer nearly 900,000 square feet of industrial and logistics space adjacent to the Long Island Expressway.

A CBRE regional team including Bill Waxman, Phil Heilpern, Paul Leone and Andre Sigourney will spearhead the targeted marketing and leasing campaign on behalf of ownership.

“Demand for quality industrial space has been extremely strong during the last year as e-commerce has accelerated in one year what would have taken 10 years to accomplish, due to the pandemic,” said Waxman. “As a result, the supply has not been able to keep up with tenant requirements, especially for Class A space that locates well for densely populated areas needing last-mile services.”
