Harris Bay Plans Rehab of Southtown Buildings

Real estate developer Harris Bay unveiled plans to rehabilitate two buildings in San Antonio’s Southtown neighborhood. Specifically, the California company will renovate two buildings at South Flores and Cevallos Streets into mixed-use lofts and ground-floor retail. Harris Bay acquired the property in an off-market deal in June 2018. The buildings on the site date back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The renovation will be conducted in phases, with the Antiques Building at 1405 S. Flores St. the first target. The developer indicated that plans call for ground-floor retail and eight apartments on the second floor. CREO Architecture is the designer.

The plans will require Historic and Design Review Commission approval before work begins.
