Harbor Island West Marina Launches $70M Redevelopment

Harbor Island West Marina announced that construction will begin this month on its long-awaited redevelopment project. The $70-million makeover is designed to support recreational boaters, marine businesses and the greater San Diego community.

Spanning 3.8 acres of land and 22 acres of water, the large-scale project includes substantial waterside and landside improvements. Upon completion, the revitalized Harbor Island West Marina, located at 2040 Harbor Island Dr., will feature 623 new slips for vessels from 20 to 140 feet, expanded boater amenities and 16,000 square feet of commercial space.

“This project represents a major investment in the long-term future of Harbor Island West Marina,” said Eric Leslie, CEO of Beauchamp Leslie Management & Development. “We’re proud to move into construction with an experienced team and a shared commitment to quality, safety and minimizing disruption to marina operations throughout the process.” The project is supported by a new 50-year lease agreement with the Port of San Diego.
