Hamilton Heights Walk-Up Trades for $525 Per SF

Ariel Property Advisors has aranged the sale of 523 W. 135th St. in Northern Manhattan’s Hamilton Heights neighborhood. Buyer and seller were not identified. The five-story, 21-unit property sold for $7.2 million, or $525-per-square-foot and $343,000-per-unit.

The firm’s Victor Sozio, Shimon Shkury, Michael A. Tortorici, Matthew L. Gillis and Orry Michael represented the seller and procured the buyer. Spanning 13,770 square feet, the walk-up building is located on the north side of West 135th Street, between Amsterdam Avenue and Broadway.

The property is situated near several attractions and institutions, including the City College of New York. Columbia University’s Manhattanville Campus expansion is also nearby. The expansion has boosted the local economy with an influx of new renters, retailers and community facilities.
