Halpern Announces Completion of 36K-SF Publix-Anchored Retail Project in North Carolina

Atlanta-based commercial real estate firm Halpern Enterprises has announced the completion of its Oak Island Market Place retail center in Oak Island, NC. The 35,800-square-foot center is anchored by a 28,000-square-foot Publix supermarket.

Located at 5001 E. Oak Island Dr., the center is 30 miles south of Wilmington and 60 miles north of Myrtle Beach. Oak Island Market Place is the ninth shopping center Halpern has developed or redeveloped with a Publix anchor, and the fourth in North Carolina. Leesville Market Place in Raleigh and Ocean Isle Beach Market Place in Ocean Isle Beach opened in 2018, and Ogden Market Place in Wilmington opened in 2017.

Publix at Oak Island Market Place is one of only two national grocers on the island. The shopping center features a signalized entrance with three points of ingress and egress. The property has up to 7,000 square feet of ground level retail and restaurant space available for lease.
