Habitat for Humanity SKKC Completes Largest Affordable Housing Building to Date

Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King & Kittitas Counties (Habitat SKKC) will celebrate the completion of the 58-home Liberty Commons community in Seattle’s Columbia City neighborhood.

Liberty Commons is Habitat SKKC’s largest single-building development to date—and the largest multi-family building in Habitat for Humanity’s history. Located at 5022 Martin Luther King Jr. Way S., Liberty Commons features five stories of condominiums, including five studios, 26 one-bedroom units, and 27 two-bedroom units with homes ranging in size from 370 to 690 square feet. It also includes a 2,000-square-foot outdoor courtyard.

Located in Seattle’s culturally and economically diverse Columbia City neighborhood, Liberty Commons is a transit-oriented development. The project was delivered in partnership with Exxel Pacific. Liberty Commons was made possible through the support of Washington State, the City of Seattle, Washington State Department of Commerce, Amazon, the National Housing Trust, Washington Trust Bank, and the Washington State Department of Ecology.
