H Mart to Open 25K-SF Location in Ballard

H Mart is bringing a new 25,000-square-foot grocery store to Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, further expanding its Pacific Northwest footprint.

The Korean-American supermarket chain has signed a long-term lease at a redevelopment site at NW Ballard Way, with an opening targeted for late 2025. The location will feature a full-service grocery store, food hall vendors, and a curated selection of Asian imports. The New Jersey-based H Mart chain is the largest Asian grocer in the country, with nearly 100 stores.

H Mart has ten other stores in the Seattle area, including locations in downtown Seattle, the University District, South Lake Union, Bellevue, Tacoma, Federal Way, and Lynnwood. H Mart’s local corporate office is in Algona.
