H Mart to Debut in Haltom City Retail Center
H Mart, an Asian supermarket chain, is getting closer to opening its first location in the Fort Worth area and third in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro. The company will build a 43,000-square-foot store in a sprawling shopping center at the cost of $9 million.
The location is in Haltom City, about 10 miles north of downtown Fort Worth, at North Beach Street and Northeast Loop 820. The grocery store will anchor a retail outlet with more than 50 stores, including restaurants, bakeries, coffee and tea shops and salons. The grocery store should be completed by December. FTC Architects is designing the buildout.
The Dallas Business Journal reports the center is already about 85-90% leased.
The project is a partnership between Haltom City, Mercantile Partners LP, KBC Advisors, Velocis and Haltom City Forest Properties LLC, and also includes an estimated $42 million four-building industrial park. Haltom City is providing Chapter 380 incentives for the project.
