H-E-B Unveils Digital Headquarters

Grocer H-E-B unveiled plans for its new digital headquarters, which it will be opening near downtown Austin. The two-story, 81,000-square-foot space will house the San Antonio company’s digital team, as well as employees with Favor, the mobile delivery company H-E-B acquired in early 2018.

The space is a rehabbed warehouse at 2416 E. 6th St. on Austin’s East side. H-E-B plans to lease the building, while IA Interior Architects will be handling the design and renovation.

H-E-B and Favor indicated they will hire several hundred workers to staff the new headquarters, including employees skilled in product management, product design and software engineering. In addition, the space will help consolidate Austin’s digital team. Employees on H-E-B’s San Antonio digital team will remain in the Alamo City.
