H-E-B Expanding Convenience Store Concept

The San Antonio-based H-E-B Texas Grocery is rolling out a different concept – that of a convenience store. To that end, the food retailer is in the planning stages for its second convenience store, a $3 million locale at 17438 Classen Rd. The site is across the street from a property on which the company will soon begin construction on a full-service grocery store.

The Classen Rd. store’s size hasn’t been determined yet, but construction is anticipated to launch in April, and conclude by October. Pb2 Architecture + Engineering is handling the design.

H-E-B’s first San Antonio convenience store, measuring 7,416 square feet, recently opened near its Plus! Location at Bandera Road and Loop 1604.
