
GSA Auctions 17-Acre Property in Menlo Park
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has announced the public sale of Rockaway Grove, a 17-acre property in Menlo Park, CA. The parcel is located at 345 Middlefield Rd., and is improved with 17 buildings ranging from 470 to 160,000 square feet.
The online auction is scheduled to start on Tuesday, June 21st at 9:00 am Pacific Time at RealEstateSales.gov, with an opening bid of $120 million. A bid registration of $750,000 is required. Inspection tour dates have been arranged for late-June and mid-July.
The Rockaway Grove property is currently occupied by the USGS, which is in the process of moving to the NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA. The parcel was identified as one of the properties for the high-value round under the Federal Asset Sale and Transfer Act. Proceeds from the sale will be used to fund further potential sales of unneeded federal property to save taxpayer funds.
