Growing Desalination Maker Relocates HQ
Ampac USA, a desalination equipment manufacturer, is moving its headquarters to Montclair from the San Fernando Valley. The company will expand into a four-building property totaling 11,500 square feet at 5255 State St.
Cheaper costs, growth opportunities, and the wide array of logistics connections throughout the Inland Empire were cited as reasons behind the move. Most of Ampac’s suppliers are based in San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego counties.
The company makes small-scale reverse osmosis water treatment systems to convert brackish water, well water, seawater and wastewater into drinking water and other uses.
Daum’s Craig McKenzie represented the seller, Gildner Family Trust, while Pacific Realty Center’s Eric Shehata represented the buyer, Ampac.
