Grover Corlew Starts Work on Ft. Lauderdale Multifamily Community, More on Way

Grover Corlew has broken ground on Mayla Cypress, a 312-unit luxury multifamily development located at 6261 NW 6th Way in Fort Lauderdale’s Uptown Urban Village in the Cypress Creek business corridor. The site was previously an underutilized office building. The company has completed one Mayla-branded project and has projects planned in Delray Beach and Orlando.

The groundbreaking follows the recent closing of a $92 million construction loan arranged by Berkadia. Units will be available to lease in the third quarter of 2026, and project completion is expected in early 2027.

Amenities include a resort-style swimming pool with cabanas, outdoor kitchen and grilling areas, clubhouse and billiards lounge, a two-story, 24/7 fitness center with a cardio mezzanine and yoga room, coworking and conference spaces, dog spa and pet-friendly features, and a sundry store.

MSA Architects designed Mayla Cypress. Straticon is the general contractor.
